"We help families bounce and not break"

Providing Financial Relief When It’s Needed Most

Losing a loved one to suicide is a deeply painful and disorienting experience. Alongside this emotional toll, many are suddenly faced with financial challenges such as funeral expenses, medical bills, or the loss of income. In these moments, even basic financial stability can feel out of reach.

Spare Key believes no family should face both emotional and financial crisis alone.

In partnership with SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education), Spare Key is proud to extend the reach of HelpMeBounce.org to survivors of suicide loss. Through this collaboration, individuals and families who have lost a loved one to suicide can create a free fundraising profile on www.HelpMeBounce.org —offering them a safe, compassionate space to share their story and seek support.

This partnership enables donors to make a direct impact—helping survivors cover urgent bills and avoid financial hardship during an already devastating time.

How It Works

Families begin by applying for aid through HelpMeBounce.org. During the application process, they will create a personalized campaign that includes funding goals, a brief story, and profile photo. Once approved through Spare Key’s program guidelines, they are able to start raising funds towards the bills that have been negatively affected by their loss. These campaigns highlight exactly what bills the family needs help with, how much support they’re seeking, and why.

Once a campaign is live, families can update their community through blog posts and share their page widely to connect with donors who care.

  • Providing empathetic assistance and valuable resources to help suicide loss survivors navigate the devastating loss of a loved one;
  • And advocating at both state and national levels—to amplify the voices of those impacted by suicide and create meaningful change.
