President and CEO of TitleSmart brings passion and industry leadership to non-profit focused on serving critically ill and seriously injured children with housing grants on behalf of their families
(Minneapolis) Cindy Koebele, President and owner of TitleSmart, Inc., has been appointed to the Spare Key Board of Directors.
Koebele, a 2015 winner for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Upper Midwest Region, joins the Board of Directors as Spare Key continues to focus on developing sustained growth to serve more families in the future.
“Cindy’s reputation as a business leader, her passion for giving back to the community, and her extensive professional and personal network will provide Spare Key a strong new advocate on behalf of our program mission,” said Erich Mische, Spare Key Executive Director. “She will create an immediate impact as a Board Member and we’re grateful for her willingness to serve.”
Spare Key, www.sparekey.org, was founded in 1997 by Robb and Patsy Keech of South St. Paul as a way to pay it forward after the passing of their son, Derian. Recognizing the immense emotional and financial stress of a child’s health crisis, Robb and Patsy created an organization that is focused on ensuring that parents can be a key member of their child’s care and recovery team.
Since 1997 Spare Key has served nearly 3,000 critically ill and seriously injured children by providing almost $2.9 million in housing grants on behalf of their families.
“I am truly inspired by Spare Key’s work,” said Koebele. “Working in the title industry for more than 30 years I have sat across the table from people seeking to purchase a home as a safe and secure place to raise their family. To be able to be involved with an organization committed to protecting those families’ hopes and dreams during a child’s health crisis by providing them with housing assistance is a tremendous honor.”
